Loris Menfi was recently hired as general manager of the Loews Regency San Francisco.
1. What are you most looking forward to in your new role as general manager of Loews Regency San Francisco?
I am looking forward to introducing the new Loews Regency brand on the west coast and being a part of the luxury hospitality industry in this world-class city. I also look forward to working with a fine team of passionate and hardworking individuals that make our hotel the amazing property it is.
2. How do you think your past industry experience has prepared you for this role?
I’ve had the pleasure of working in the hospitality industry for 20 years, and much of that experience has been in several five-star, five-diamond properties in many different cities. Having a strong luxury hospitality background, in addition to leading the teams at Loews Philadelphia and Loews New Orleans, has prepared me to showcase our new luxury brand to the great city of San Francisco.
3. What goals do you have in mind for Loews Regency San Francisco for this year and farther down the line?
We are planning some very exciting hotel renovations in the near future and new programming from our recently launched spa and restaurant that will further enrich the guest experience. With our signature Loews Regency touches in place, we plan to be the premier luxury hotel in the San Francisco market.
4. How did you get into the hospitality industry?
After graduating from Kent State University in Ohio, I was fortunate to begin my career at the front desk of The Ritz Carlton Cleveland. From the very beginning, my instinct immediately told me this was the perfect fit, and ever since, I have loved working in hotels.
5. What do you enjoy most about the hotel?
I am excited to work with our talented and extraordinary team members who exceed our guests’ expectations every minute of every day! I also love the central location of Loews Regency San Francisco in the Financial District, which is such a lovely and quick walk to the iconic Ferry Building where I’m always discovering delicious new things.
6. Any additional comments?
We look forward to welcoming everyone to the new Loews Regency San Francisco!
