If you’re playing a lot of hide and seek in finding the right team-building activities for your corporate group, consider Lillstreet Ignite. An extension of the Lillstreet Art Center in Chicago’s Ravenswood neighborhood, the Ignite program offers hands-on workshops, taught by a professional artist, that bring art and business together. Each teaches the effectiveness of collaboration and communication as well as creativity and mindfulness, according to Program Director Samantha Hostert.
One of the newest offerings taking everyone’s attention is “Competitive Fort Building.” The exercise divides the group into two teams, each building a lifesized fort out of cardboard, duct tape and twine. Once completely decorated, each is judged by the facilitator and then demolished by—what else—a friendly game of dodge ball.
