When meetings happen, the world can change.
That’s the philosophy behind Ann Arbor’s GO Where Meetings Matter, which owner Karen Gordon designed specifically for business meetings.
“I’ve been in too many meetings where the meeting venue was not conducive to a successful meeting,” says Gordon, who comes from a corporate background. Often the atmosphere was dull, reliable tech gear was not available, the banquet chairs were uncomfortable or she could hear the speaker in the next room better than her own.
At GO WMM, the energetic atmosphere starts at the front door. The casual common space is intended to spark creativity and engagement. It offers nontraditional seating and two snack/beverage stations, so that guests can connect and refuel.
Five meeting rooms can handle meetings from two to 70 attendees, or a reception of up to 200 people. The inventory of contemporary tables and chairs allows for a variety of room layouts. No meeting rooms share a wall, which helps to minimize distraction. Informal break-out spaces are available at no extra cost.
GO WMM provides equipment ranging from large video monitors, video conferencing gear and LCD projectors down to flip charts, pencils and dryerase markers. Clear marker boards line meeting room walls.
Ergonomic task chairs help keep meeting attendees comfortable and able to focus on the task at hand. A nature trail winds away from the complex so attendees can get their blood flowing during breaks.
