With a beachside locale and a laidback, surf-town vibe, Ventura County Coast is awash with inspiration for your next meeting and event. The region is home to four communities— Camarillo, Oxnard, Ventura, and Port Hueneme—and is ideal for groups from 10 to 1,000.
With more than 200,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space, planners can choose from a variety of venues—from a private beachfront property to a storied historic spot or a fully stocked hotel conference center. “Our region provides the ‘California State of Mind’ without breaking the bank. We are always excited to work with planners to create exclusive customized incentive packages,” says Brian Tucker president & CEO of Ventura County Coast.
When the agenda is done, mix business with pleasure with post-meeting outings to please any vibe.
“There is a feeling you get when you explore the region, the only way I can explain it is good vibes. Everything from the perfect weather, our beaches, cool downtown areas and diverse shopping options make this the perfect California destination,” says Tucker.
For the active groups, try paddle boarding, parasailing, hiking, surfing or snorkeling. Be sure to explore one of the region’s most inspiring destinations: Channel Islands National Park. Known as the “the Galapagos Islands of North America,” the park is comprised of five islands. The islands are wild and isolated with natural and cultural resources that have been preserved over thousands of years, making the park unlike any other place on Earth. Despite its remote setting, it is as close as a one-hour boat ride (which is itself a jaw-dropping experience) from Ventura and/or Oxnard harbors.
Foodies will appreciate the farm-to-table restaurants in the area. Enjoy a seafood extravaganza, dining al fresco with the ocean as your backdrop. Or try a brewery crawl, many of which are within walking distance and near the beach.
Immerse yourself in the region’s lifestyle and culture by renting a bike to explore on two wheels or taking a break at one of the locally owned shops and boutiques. Don’t skip your chance to go whale-watching and be sure to check out the region’s art galleries and public art.
And if you’re still not sure which vibe best suits your group, Ventura County Coast has put together a handy quiz for you to take to get a feel for the best itinerary.
Ventura County Coast is located off Highway 101, one hour north of Los Angeles and convenient to airports. The region is safe and open for meetings.
“Ventura County Coast offers something for everyone and we have plenty of accommodations to make sure our visitors are comfortable during their entire stay,” says Tucker.
