Location: At the confluence of the Colorado and Roaring Fork Rivers, between Aspen and Vail, Glenwood Springs is 160 miles west of Denver and 90 miles east of Grand Junction on Interstate 70.
Transportation: Amtrak’s California Zephyr travels from Chicago to San Francisco with daily stops in Glenwood Springs or fly into Eagle/Vail, Aspen, Grand Junction or Denver. Another option is Bustang, a new interregional express bus service from Denver and Glenwood Springs via the West Line.
Must Sees & Dos: Aquatic attractions are abundant with three hot springs facilities, two rivers and pristine Hanging Lake. Thermal hot springs have drawn groups to this place for hundreds of years. Glenwood Hot Springs, established in 1888, is the largest mineral hot springs pool in the world. Next door, Yampah Spa and Vapor Caves is a naturally occurring underground steam bath. Opened in 2015, Iron Mountain Hot Springs features 16 soaking pools along the Colorado River.
Also, professional whitewater rafting outfitters are available to guide paddlers through scenic Glenwood Canyon.
Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park is a Western-themed park noted for its amazing cave formations and a host of thrill rides including America’s highest elevation roller coaster, the Giant Canyon Swing and the Glenwood Canyon Flyer.
Hotels & Venues: Hotel Colorado, established in 1893, is the largest property with more than 10,000 square feet of meeting space for up to 350 attendees. The centuryold Hotel Denver offers a stunning space called The Loft where up to 99 can convene, and Glenwood Canyon Brewpub is downstairs for tasting local beer.
