Tentwood Events Has You Covered with a Charming, Pastoral Setting

By M+E Staff

Looking for a rustic barn as the venue for your next event, but missing only one thing: the actual barn? Well, Seattle-based startup Tentwood Events has a solution: a 1,000-square-foot popup barn.

Tentwood is the brainchild of Kelsey Von Stubbe, who was inspired to introduce the venue option when she was planning her own wedding and wanted something other than the traditional white tent. She parlayed her experience at Seattle’s Teatro ZinZanni—which performs in an antique Spiegeltent, a large traveling tent—to design the portable pastoral space.

Tentwood’s pop-up barn was engineered in the Pacific Northwest and manufactured with an aluminum frame, wooden wall panels and aged steel roofing to create a realisticlooking country barn. The traveling venue features 1,000 square feet of space and a 14-foot-tall ceiling and can accommodate as many as 100 people seated or 120 people standing. Although it does not offer traditional flooring, planners can rent add-ons, such as a dance floor, a bar, and tables and chairs. The barn can be set up and taken down in one day by Tentwood’s production crew.

Tentwood Events is now available to book for events taking place as soon as spring 2018.
