Venue Spotlight: Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin West, Scottsdale

By M+E Staff

Taliesin West, the winter home and living laboratory of architect Frank Lloyd Wright is available for hosting meetings and events in Scottsdale. The venue offers groups of 15-250 the opportunity to immerse themselves in Wright’s world by choosing from nine unique locations or buying out the entire property. The Cabaret Terrace, Garden Room Lawn, Garden Squares, Kiva and Pavilion Terrace are available along with the following four options.

Garden Living Room – Considered the showpiece of Taliesin West, this is where Wright and his guests would socialize every weekend. He designed the unique canted roof and all of the furniture and accessories.

Cabaret Theater – This venue highlights Wright’s love of Asian art. Groups can use original Wright-designed chairs, seats and tables and enjoy optimal acoustics.

Music Pavilion – This was the last structure Wright added to Taliesin West in 1957. The pavilion is filled with dramatic seats, curtains and carpeting all in red to celebrate what Wright believed to be a life-giving color of creation.

Prow & Sunken Garden/Sunset Terrace – A triangular terrace steps down to the Prow, a triangular garden and lawn with geometric beds filled with native plants and views of the McDowell Mountains.
