Westin La Paloma Celebrates 30 Years with New Features

By M+E Staff

Nestled among the foothills of Arizona’s Santa Catalina Mountains in Tucson, The Westin La Paloma is celebrating its 30th anniversary with several new options of interest to groups. A serenity garden was created in partnership with the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum and has informative signs to educate guests about their cacti and succulent-infused surroundings. Also, an attractive art walk featuring metal and stone sculptures by Tucson’s Metal Arts Village artists has been installed on the resort’s 250 acres of desert landscape, and groups can learn the art of welding with Steve Kimble, the brains behind the Village. Another fun team-building option is the resort’s 27-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course. Novices in the group are encouraged to loosen up with a long drive contest using marshmallows.
