The Presidential Touch in Simi Valley

From Los Angeles, it’s a fairly short and beautiful drive north to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley. Not only is the library really interesting to tour, planners can treat attendees to a beautiful mountain setting by hosting gatherings in the Air Force One Pavilion, the front entrance courtyard, White House Rose Garden, and the Ruwe Terrace and West Lawn, which connect and feature a large piece of the Berlin Wall. The enclosed Air Force One Pavilion is especially impressive as it was built around the retired Air Force One airplane that Ronald Reagan used as president.

Open-Air Excursions from Tenaya Lodge

Located just 2 miles from the south gate of Yosemite National Park, Tenaya Lodge in Fish Camp provides one-of-a-kind access to the area’s amazing waterfalls, wildflowers and views with a duo of new open-air tour options.

The property’s Mercedes-Benz tour bus holds up to 19 and features panoramic retractable roofs. Offered seven days a week, tours depart from the resort with a local guide and spend the day touring Yosemite Valley with stops at scenic landmarks such as Wawona, Tunnel View, Bridalveil Falls, El Capitan Meadow, and Upper and Lower Yosemite Falls.

Adventure-seekers can opt for outings with Sierra Nevada Motorsports. Jeep and ATV tours wind up on forest service roads to reach the historic Devil’s Peak fire lookout with expansive views of Sierra National Forest.
