The Reno-Sparks Convention & Visitors Authority has selected SMG, a worldwide entertainment and convention venue management company, to operate the RSCVA-owned Reno-Sparks Convention Center (RSCC), state-owned Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center, and Reno Events Center and National Bowling Stadium, both owned by the City of Reno. The four-year agreement began in June and also includes culinary services through SMG’s in-house food and beverage division. A feasibility study for expanding Reno Tahoe’s largest facility, the 600,000-squarefoot RSCC, is currently underway. SMG manages more than 75 convention centers, 13 stadiums, 70 arenas, and 67 theaters and performing arts centers. ;
