Central Kitchen + Bar, in Detroit, looks out through large windows to Cadillac Square from its spot on the ground floor of the First National Building. Diners can enjoy winter views of Campus Martius’ bright holiday décor and of ice skaters in its rink.
Central’s list of local food partners is impressive, and includes Avalon International Breads, Corridor Sausage, Red Goose Spice Co., Tocco Produce, Zingerman’s Coffee and more. Its modern American menu offers items ranging from buttermilk fried chicken to rainbow trout and shrimp and grits.
The project of Dennis Archer Jr. has gotten rave reviews since opening last summer. Planners, take note: Central hosts private events in its dining room and lobby and on its patio.
