For those of us looking for something a little more glamorous than the traditional tentand-sleeping-bag experience, there is Wanderland Popup.
Jason Thomson and Sonia Jozajtis founded their Asbury Park-based business with the motto “rest wild” in mind. Wanderland Popup offers three unique spaces: the Lotus Bell, the Sibley and the Mobile Guest Room. Perhaps the most popular tent, the Lotus Bell is handmade in New Zealand and was named after its Lotus-like shape.
Wanderland Popup offers a truly unique glamping experience. Guests can expect high-end linens, Peruvian frazadas, Icelandic wool blankets, Turkish kilim pillows and rugs and more within their tents.
Wanderland Popup has created tents for a wide array of events. Just to name a few: backyard guest rooms, palm reading tents on the rooftop of a German biergarten in Asbury Park, bachelor/bachelorette campouts, craft/maker bazaars and dinner parties.
“You have the feel of a hotel room, yet you’re listening to the wind blow and the birds chirp,” says Thomson. “It’s really a connection to nature that you don’t get with a standard hotel.
