DoubleDutch Offers New Direct Messaging and Channel Features

By Brenna Sievert

Fostering conversation is the goal of DoubleDutch’s newest app update, which offers direct messaging between attendees and different channels for discussions. The app’s new Activity Feed allows users to upload photos, comments and more.

“[The Activity Feed] is the heart and soul of the app where we’re giving attendees the opportunity to express themselves,” says Emily He, chief marketing officer. “Most event apps are static apps that just contain content such as the agenda/schedule, list of speakers or exhibitors, map of the venue, but don’t provide attendees the ability to interact and engage with each other.”

Attendees can use either topic channels or session channels. The real-time discussions connect attendees and encourage a new level of participation for event planners and participants.
