The National Conference Center, one of the largest meeting and training facilities in the country, compiled a list of the top meeting and event planning apps by combing through all those offered and chatting with industry professionals. Below are their results.
1.Eventbrite—This free tool allows planners to both see others’ events and create their own, as well as sell tickets and check in attendees. Seating plans can be customized for any event.
2.Super Planner—A business app for the professional event planner, Super Planner provides a host of planning tools, including calculators for venue capacity, staffing, catering, staging, projection and dance floor. Useful tips and planning recommendations can also be found within the app. The price is $9.99.
3.World Time Buddy—When you need to schedule a future meeting across different time zone, this free app will set the correct meetings times and send emails to all participants.
4.iClicker PowerPoint Remote—Need a pointer for your presentation? Look no further than your iPhone. With the use of this app you can see your presentation on your phone screen, record it and point to it. You also can exit the app to take a phone call and then return to your stopping point. The cost is $9.99, but a free lite version is available to test on your phone.
5.Scanner Pro—Take photos of multiple documents and crop, resize and adjust their light before emailing, saving or printing them. You can also scan receipts, whiteboards, paper notes or any multipage document at the low price of $2.99.
6.My Meeting Pro HD—The app has note-taking, planning, preparation and time-keeping tools to organize your meeting. It also has a two-hour audio recording capability and costs $2.99.
7.Evernote—Planning an event takes a team. Evernote can help you delegate and manage the event and organize everything from venue research, travel itineraries and menus. You can share notes and update team members by syncing the free app across multiple devices.
8.Bizzabo—You can update an agenda and content in real time, generate social buzz as attendees share your event with their networks, increase revenue with sponsorship space, amplify attendee engagement and track your event’s success with this shockingly free app.
9.Heytell—Communication is a must before, during and after an event. Heytell turns devices into walkie-talkies and is free.
10.Asana—This free app gets rid of email and puts conversations and tasks together amongst employees and keeps track of all details and communications.
