Big Sky Welcomes First Major Hotel

By M+E Staff

Wilson Hotel Big Sky Residence Inn opened in mid-2019 and is Big Sky’s first major hotel. With a name inspired by Wilson Peak, one of the most prominent of the Spanish Peaks overlooking Big Sky, the hotel has 129 suites, 3,000 square feet of meeting space and a Town Center location just steps from shops, restaurants and nightlife. It’s also a complimentary shuttle ride away from the ski lifts at Big Sky Resort. In addition, there is a steakhouse-style American restaurant, fitness center, outdoor heated pool and whirlpool, game room and lobby bar showcasing local brews on tap and craft cocktails unique to the region.

The Wilson’s brick exterior takes inspiration from historic architecture found throughout Montana, while its rustic-modern interior evokes a mountain setting and includes a central fireplace. Owned by Lone Mountain Land Company and managed by Urgo Hotels & Resorts, the hotel is led by a team of veteran hospitality executives, including General Manager Mandy Hotovy, Assistant General Manager Minsun Robillard and Director of Sales Dan Moller.
