New Kalahari Resorts and Conventions Opens in Round Rock

Round Rock is now home to America’s largest indoor water park: Kalahari Resorts and Conventions. The venue showcases a safari theme and includes 22 life-size sculptures that weigh up to 10,000 pounds each and measure up to 10 feet tall. The collection includes 12 elephants, seven zebras, a mother and baby rhinoceros, and a cape buffalo. The 350-acre resort complex includes 3 acres of outdoor pools, 975 guest rooms, a 223,000-square-foot water park, 80,000-square-foot Tom Foolerys Adventure Park, five restaurants, 10,000 square feet of retail space, a spa, and 200,000 square feet of flexible meeting space for conventions and events, including a rustic Event Barn. The water park includes 20 pools and whirlpools, 30 waterslides, a rock climbing wall, grotto swim-up bar, cabanas and waterfalls.
