Over the next five years, Vancouver’s largest sightseeing operator, WESTCOAST Sightseeing, will be replacing its fleet with zero-emission electric buses. In partnership with BYD—the world’s largest manufacturer of electric vehicles—WESTCOAST added the first of the more than 80 buses earlier this year. The fully operational fleet is expected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 2,000 tons per year. The buses will operate daily tours of Vancouver, Whistler and Victoria.
