Taste of Easton Tour Company, owned by self-proclaimed foodie Laurel Ferguson, is a product of her and her husband’s continual love for both Easton and food. “Ten years ago, this type of business wouldn’t have been possible. The quality and diversity of the dining establishments in Easton is truly what inspired Taste of Easton Tour Company,” says Ferguson. 

Food tours typically last three hours, with public tours accommodating up to 15. Groups visit six to seven restaurants (including the Easton Public Market and Two Rivers Brewing Company), eating one small plate at each establishment. In addition to public tours, corporate groups are able to book private tours customized to fit their size and needs. 

While tours primarily focus on Easton’s food scene, they also highlight history and current happenings. Its Prohibition Tour, for example, partners with the Sigal Museum’s The Cat’s Meow exhibit. “There are lots of different fun things to do in Easton, and it’s really exciting. People that live here especially don’t realize everything that’s going on all the time,” says Ferguson. 

INGREDIENTS:
• 1.5 oz Plantation 3 Stars rum
• .5 oz Aperol
• 1 oz pineapple juice
• .5 oz lemon juice
• .5 oz Orgeat
• 2 dashes Peychaud’s bitters

DIRECTIONS:
Shake and double strain into your favorite Tiki mug and add ice.

The 37th edition of the IACC Americas Connect conference took place on April 16-18 at Chubb Hotel & Conference Center and The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia. The three-day conference, hosted by former White House Director of Events Laura Schwartz, included educational sessions, panel discussions in the form of campfires, workshops, culinary tours and tastings, as well as the annual Global Copper Skillet competition.
