• New York Bowery Hotel Opens Rooftop Bar

citizenM, a pioneer of affordable luxury hotels, has announced the opening of its new rooftop bar and lounge, cloudM. Spanning the entire 21st floor of the citizenM New York Bowery hotel in Lower Manhattan, cloudM features an outdoor terrace and indoor deck with 360-degree views of New York.

A quirky menu at cloudM includes select spirits, beers, wines and mocktails. An extensive cocktail list specially curated for the Bowery property includes with ingredients like makrut leaf-infused Bombay Sapphire, Buddha’s Hands Limoncello, lemongrass, centella asiatica soda and watermelon wine. Light bites, offering takes on playful comfort foods with an element of surprise, are also served at the bar.

Each month, cloudM will host a variety of events, including Music Mondays with performances from different local artists, Creative Wednesdays with inspirational talks and workshops, and Tasting Thursdays, where different Lower East Side chefs will prepare small bites for bar guests. 

Designed by Amsterdam-based firm concrete, a long-time partner of citizenM, the bar features floor-to-ceiling windows, oversized chandeliers, and colorful Vitra chairs and couches. Above the bar area is a a dramatic rendering of the view, painted by Jonathan ‘Meres One’ Cohen – the New York-based lead artist of 5 Pointz creates – featuring a dynamic display of his well-known wild tags and layering technique.

cloudM will remain open throughout the year, and is accessible to both hotel guests and the general public.

The Austin Marriott Downtown is raising a glass to the completion of its structural framework, literally. Instead of raising the “final beam,” the hotel held a “topping-off” event where guests watched a large crane raise three Garrison Brothers bourbon barrels onto the hotel’s rooftop, in collaboration with local spirit masters Garrison Brothers Distillery.

 

Tampa Marriott Water Street revealed its multi-phase renovation, including extensive enhancements to the 727 guest rooms, more than 40,000 square feet of meeting spaces, the lobby, and two new and original restaurant concepts by chef and restaurateur Richard Sandoval.

 

Tattersall Distilling reveals its first event space, Clover Club. Adjacent to the original Tattersall building, Clover Club is a 7,000-square-foot with 2,400 square feet used as the event space and the rest dedicated to barrel storage.
