Camelback Resort Offers Action-Filled Retreats

By M+E Staff

April brings spring flowers…and the opportunity to take meetings and retreats outdoors. Camelback Resort, in the Pocono Mountains, will be opening several of its attractions over the coming weeks, including: Appalachian Express Mountain Coaster  4,500 feet of steel track and passenger cars that thrillingly zoom down the steep slopes of Camelback Mountain; the 1,000-foot Double Barrel Zipline, offering the thrill of zipping through the trees up to eight stories above ground; Euro Bungee, where participants can do flips and tricks or just enjoy the four-minute exciting jump, and Mountain Segway/UTV (Utility Task Vehicle) Tour – an off-road adventure taking travelers through the forest to experience scenic views and a special visual perspective of the Poconos.

While it may be well known as a destination for family vacations, Camelback Resort also offers full amenities for corporate meetings and retreats, with 20,000 square feet of indoor-outdoor meeting space, including the 3,800-square-foot Camelback Grand Ballroom and the capacity to host receptions for up to 750 attendees. Teambuilding opportunities abound, on the slopes, in Aquatopia, the 125,000-square-foot indoor waterpark, and in the 30,000-square-foot dry adventure center (ropes course, minigolf, laser tag, over 100 arcade games and more) and Camelback Lodge offers 453 hotel guest suites. An easy drive-to destination, Camelback is 90 minutes from New York City and two hours from Philadelphia.
