A New Trail in the Poconos Guides Groups and Visitors to Breweries, Wineries, and Distilleries

By M+E Staff

Encompassing 2,400 square miles of lakes, rivers and woodlands in Pennsylvania, the Poconos have earned a well-deserved reputation as an accessible and beautiful destination for outdoor activities. When it comes to corporate gatherings, the Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau (PMVB) boasts that the area “is the ultimate outdoor classroom for your next team-building adventure.”

Now, the visitors bureau is raising a glass to indoor adventures, the kind that can be enjoyed at the Poconos’ breweries, distilleries, and wineries. The  PMVB has launched the Pocono Beverage Trail passport, an interactive mobile experience designed to bring visitors to roughly 20 participating breweries, wineries, and distilleries in Wayne, Pike, Monroe and Carbon counties.

Visitors can use the new Pocono Beverage Trail digital pass to see which breweries, wineries, and distilleries are nearby, score deals on food and other items, and check in to earn points towards rewards The digital pass will let users find participating locations on the Pocono Beverage Trail and filter results by their current location or map out their trail experience. Each stop along the trail requires users to check in using a code to rack up points. More locations will be added to the Pocono Beverage Trail digital pass lineup in the coming weeks and months.

“The Pocono Beverage Trail is designed to provide a fun and interactive experience as visitors taste the unique craft beverages the Pocono Mountains has to offer,” says Chris Barrett, President/CEO of the Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau. “We hope many more people find enjoyment on the trail in a safe, responsible way thanks to this new experience.”
