Bar Harta Rolls Out Event Menu

The new event venue on the second floor of New York City’s Grayson Hotel is now offering catering options that include family-style meals

Bar Harta, the event venue that debuted last year at the Grayson Hotel in New York City, unveiled a fresh menu for group gatherings. The 1,502-square-foot indoor/outdoor wine lounge serves as an extension of Harta Restaurant on the hotel’s second-floor terrace and is now available for bookings. The venue is managed by New York-based hospitality company Apicii.

“We’re thrilled to share our new culinary offerings for events at Bar Harta,” says Tom Dillon, CEO of Apicii, in a prepared statement. “For groups looking to meet or celebrate in New York City, Bar Harta offers a flexible indoor/outdoor space that immerses attendees in the bustle of New York City in a calm and charming setting. We look forward to catering events on the alfresco terrace with our new menu.”

The lounge’s decor includes rattan lighting, fresh greenery draped from the ceiling, and a glass pergola that peers onto the large outdoor terrace overlooking 39th Street in Midtown Manhattan—its decor and layout were curated by local New York City design studio Dutch East Design. The space offers flexibility depending on the season of the event, and can be transformed from light and airy in the summertime to cozy and warm in the winter months. The venue comes complete with audiovisual capabilities and options for live entertainment and DJ programming.

The new catering menu offers a three-hour dinner reception option, which includes an open bar, passed canapes, a small dinner station, passed and/or stationed desserts, and coffee/tea service. Planners can also opt for a three-course, family-style dinner for groups of up to 50 people. Menu options for family-style dinners include charred eggplant with mint and smoked olive oil, chorizo and potato croquettes with romesco sauce, and branzino (European sea bass) with roasted fennel, artichoke, and salmoriglio sauce. On the sweeter side of things, desserts available on the events menu include Basque cheesecake, inspired by regions of Spain; seasonal crostata with mascarpone; and chocolate almond torte. Other catering options include a family-style lunch and a two-course plated breakfast.

Bar Harta is available for seated events of up to 150 attendees or reception-style events for up to 200, offering a selection of over 40 wines by the glass, 16 of which are flowing on tap.
