Showtime! Here’s some news meeting planners will want to share with attendees who will be in the Big Apple in September. For the first time since 2019, the fall iteration of NYC Broadway Week is back. The biannual program, beloved by theatergoers, returns for its 11th year on Sept. 6-25, offering 2-for-1 tickets to 21 Broadway shows.
Broadway Week is produced by NYC & Company, the city’s official destination marketing organization and convention and visitors bureau, in partnership with The Broadway League and Mastercard®. The participating shows include a wide range of choices, from long-running favorites like “Chicago,” “The Lion King,” “Aladdin,” “Wicked,” and “The Book of Mormon”; returning classics such as “Funny Girl,” “Death of a Salesman,” “The Piano Lesson,” and “Into the Woods,” and new productions that include “SIX” and “The Kite Runner.”
“This fall marks the one-year anniversary of Broadway’s reopening and since then we have welcomed nearly 9.3 million theatergoers to New York City. The return of fall NYC Broadway Week is a fantastic way for locals and visitors to experience thrilling live theater in one of the world’s most exciting cities,” says Charlotte St. Martin, president of The Broadway League. “The 21 Broadway shows included in this year’s 2-for-1 ticket offer represent some of the most iconic, diverse, and innovative productions to hit the stage. The variety offered is sure to please audiences ranging from the frequent to the first-time guest.”
