The Finger Lakes Launches a Well-Being Passport

By M+E Staff

If you’re planning a meeting in the Finger Lakes region of west-central New York, chances are you’ve chosen the destination for the natural beauty of its 11 lakes, blue hills, and rolling farmland; its low-key friendly vibe, and its charming towns—all a revitalizing contrast to urban centers. Now, with the introduction of FLX Well-Being Passport, it will be easier than ever for attendees to enjoy the restorative benefits of the area.

Launched by Finger Lakes Visitors Connection, the official tourism promotion agency for Ontario County, the Well-Being Passport is a free program that includes a collection of curated attractions, retailers, and experiences that offer healthy activities, deals, and discounts with the added bonus of earning prizes along the way. From jogging, kayaking, swimming or biking; golfing with a ball or a disc; taking a tour of an alpaca farm; geocaching among the vineyards; yoga, pickleball, and much more, users can choose their own path to healthy living in an easy mobile-friendly way. Powered by Bandwango, a travel technology platform, the passport is instantly delivered by text and email, with no apps to download.

“Ontario County’s abundance of parks, trails, spas, agricultural experiences, and activities in, on, and around our famous Finger Lakes just beg to be shared and our latest passport is the perfect invitation to explore the many options for healthy Finger Lakes living,” says Valerie Knoblauch, president of Finger Lakes Visitors Connection.
