Reality TV junkies alike can agree to the fact that Cake Boss and other food shows are all the craze these days. With the rise in custom made cakes for events of all kinds the past few years, this area of business is booming with boutique bakeries opening across the country.
“Cake Boss,” the hit TLC show featuring Buddy and his team at Carlo’s Bakery, are expanding their store reach to southern New Jersey. Opening later this year, the location in Marlton will be the sixth location in the Garden State. The new store will be located at 300 Route 73 in South Marlton.
“Marlton is such a great community, I knew it would be a perfect fit for the bakery,” said Buddy Valastro, owner of Carlo’s Bakery, in a press release. “It’s very exciting to be able to expand into Southern New Jersey. New Jersey is where it all began.”
The original Carlo’s Bakery, a family business, opened in 1910 and has been known for its family atmosphere. As seen in the show, Buddy Valastro and his family operate the Hoboken store with different members of the family participating in different portions of the business. They also recently opened a location in Las Vegas, Nevada.
