The food and beverage provider for the Atlantic City Convention Center, Ovations Food Services, teamed up with Global Spectrum and gave back to their community this Thanksgiving.
Executive chef of Ovations Food Services, George Fischer, and a few staff and volunteers made a Thanksgiving meal in the kitchen of Global Spectrum for the Atlantic City Rescue Mission. Several local casinos and businesses donated the menu items to help feed the homeless and those affected by the recent casino closings.
The food preparations began Monday, November 24 when Chef Fischer and the staff of Ovations roasted turkeys and vegetables. The next morning they carved the turkeys and made stuffing , gravy, potatoes, and cranberry sauce. The completed meals were delivered to the Atlantic City Rescue Mission on Wednesday, November 26.
