In May, Mohari Hospitality, a global real estate investment firm based in Nicosia, Cyprus, acquired Tao Group Hospitality, an international hospitality company—headquartered in New York City—that specializes in unique and immersive culinary and entertainment experiences.
Tao Group will join Mohari’s portfolio that includes operating the Four Seasons Hotel Madrid in the historic Canalejas Centre in Spain, the Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica at Peninsula Papagayo, and The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection. Tao Group’s portfolio includes 80 branded properties, including several with New York locations like Tao, a restaurant and nightclub; the Michelin Star-awarded Hakkasan modern Chinese restaurants; Marquee nightclubs; Lavo Italian Restaurants; and Beauty & Essex, a restaurant, lounge, and pawn shop on the Lower East Side of Manhattan.
