In recognition of its commitment to diversity and inclusion, Mohegan, based in Uncasville, Connecticut, joins an impressive roster of top global companies on Newsweek’s America’s Greatest Workplaces for Diversity 2024 list. The Mohegan Tribe-owned gaming hotelier owns and operates seven casino and resort properties in New England; Niagara Falls, Ontario; Las Vegas, Nevada; and Washington state.

“We’re committed to fostering an environment where every team member feels valued and empowered,” says Naketrice Snow, Mohegan’s director of people experience, in a prepared statement. Mohegan’s team is made up of more than 12,000 employees.

The company was built on the four key principles of the Mohegan Tribe’s Spirit of Aquai guiding philosophy—“aquai” is the Mohegan word for “greeting.” The principles are welcoming, mutual respect, cooperation, and relationship-building. The selection process for Newsweek’s ranking includes a rigorous five-part evaluation and considers extensive employee input.
