Based off of Philly attractions that received press coverage earlier this year, Visit Philadelphia has created a new itinerary for visitors and residents alike.
The itinerary, titled “22 Philadelphia Attractions Making Headlines in 2015,” features places that were curated from publications such as The New York Times with their “52 Place to Go in 2015” list (in which Phillly was the highest-ranked U.S. city at No. 3) and articles from Condé Nast Traveler and Travel + Leisure.
Highlights include Spruce Street Harbor Park, Abe Fisher restaurant, Schuylkill Banks Boardwalk, Reading Terminal Market and more. The map presents descriptions of each spot and allows users to create their own Google map of the attractions they wish to see.
“Word-of-mouth and third-party endorsements are incredibly important to travelers,” says Meryl Levitz, president and CEO of VISIT PHILADELPHIA. “We know that travelers trust the recommendations from these national publications, so we’re promoting these suggestions—we agree with them, after all.”
