The Rittenhouse, a Philadelphia luxury hotel, recently announced a series of special offerings in honor of its 25th anniversary this June.
“For twenty-five years, The Rittenhouse has captured the hearts of guests from around the world, and we are thrilled to celebrate and pay homage to its rich history,” says Reginald Archambault, general manager. “This summer we’re inviting guests and locals alike to enjoy the best of the hotel’s recent enhancements, while recognizing its special place in Philadelphia and toasting to the next 25 years.”
The 116-room property, which opened its doors in 1989, is celebrating the milestone with renewed vigor as it nears the end of a $10 million revitalization. Improvements to the recently-rebranded hotel include the addition of a Library Bar, five Park Suites overlooking Rittenhouse Square, and enhanced Afternoon Tea service at the Mary Cassatt Tea Room.
Additionally, the hotel refreshed the lobby, guest rooms and public event spaces. As the culminating stage of the enhancements, the hotel will welcome a new full-service spa, health club and salon later this summer, The Rittenhouse Spa & Club – Hair by Paul Labrecque.
The Library Bar
Throughout the month of June, guests can enjoy the Silver Anniversary cocktail at The Library Bar, The Rittenhouse’s cocktail destination located just off the lobby. Created by The Rittenhouse’s own master mixologist, Papi Hurtado, the cocktail is inspired by the metal that represents 25 years and features champagne, 25-year aged balsamico and a fresh strawberry reduction.
Lacroix
Lacroix, The Rittenhouse’s award-winning restaurant, will offer a Sparkling Lunch menu. Curated by Executive Chef Jon Cichon, the prix fix three course lunch menu features a glass of sparkling wine for $25. Menu highlights include: Salmon Tartare with lemongrass, english peas and radishes; Maine Scallop with emmer berry, asparagus and apricot; and a selection of petite desserts. Guests can also choose to purchase a bottle of wine from a specially curated selection of 25 special wines, chosen by The Rittenhouse’s sommelier Justin Timsit, and available at a 25 percent discounted price.
Special Surprises
At check-in, children will receive distinctive 2014 minted quarters in addition to the opportunity to pick a surprise gift from The Rittenhouse toy treasure chest. The anniversary chocolates are made by The Rittenhouse’s new pastry chef, Tova du Plessis. A fun soundtrack of 80’s music will also be played in the lobby, paying homage to the hotel’s 1989 opening date.
