Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, New York, has a major transformation in the works, which will result in the addition of The Grand Expo conference and event center and The Crescent Hotel with its Salt restaurant later this year. The expansion, which the resort is calling the “Turning Stone Evolution,” will double the property’s current event space.
The Grand Expo, scheduled to open shortly after Labor Day this year, will feature 165,000 square feet of function space that includes a grand ballroom with a dedicated outdoor terrace hosting up to 2,000, as well as a 25,000-square-foot courtyard for bringing a little nature into meetings. The Crescent Hotel, which will open on the property at the end of June, offers 258 additional guest rooms and suites, and will provide an indoor connection to the resort’s main gaming floor, several restaurants, current event center, and The Grand Expo after it opens. Its fine-dining establishment Salt spans the entire seventh floor, with a raw seafood bar, sweeping views of the surrounding landscape via floor-to-ceiling windows, and four private dining rooms.
