VisitPITTSBURGH has developed a fun promotional campaign to get locals more involved with its “Pittsburgh. Mighty. Beautiful.” theme and tagline. The organization kicked-off the “Mighty. Beautiful.” campaign and contest at its Annual Meeting luncheon by asking attendees to think of a third word to describe the city, e.g. Mighty. Beautiful. Welcoming. Among the words being used to describe Pittsburgh were: Inspiring. Proud. Reinvented. Welcoming. Legendary. Innovative.
Many times in VisitPITTSBURGH promotions, the organization adds another word to the tagline when talking about the city. For example, when showcasing the hot culinary scene, the CVB may say in its promotion: “Mighty. Beautiful. Delicious.” When talking about the city’s rich history, it may be: “Mighty. Beautiful. Historic.”
Now, VisitPITTSBURGH wants locals to choose their “Pittsburgh word.” That is, what word best describes their Pittsburgh? How would they describe the vibe of this city to a visitor?
There are two way to submit entries:
