New Jersey-based Wyndham Hotel Group recently announced its LEED certifiable construction prototypes for the Days Inn and Super 8—its largest and most well-known brands.
Announced at the 37th Annual NUY International Hospitality Industry Investment Conferences, the two prototypes, which will center on style, performance and efficiency. The construction comes at a time when the hotel group is seeing a large interest in domestic construction. As of March 31 of this year, the company had signed agreements for more than 140 new hotels across the country.
“As a company that’s been nationally recognized for its ongoing commitment to sustainability, providing complete solutions that not only cater to the evolving needs of guests but that enable LEED certification is of the utmost importance,” says George Scammell, vice president of global design at Wyndham Worldwide. “Whether it’s the bright, vibrant and comfortable design of Days Inn or the warm, accessible and affordable appeal of Super 8, we’ve tried to create offerings that are distinct, sustainable and meaningful.”
