After 30 years in the tourism and hospitality industry, Visit Atlantic City’s Larry Sieg says his top priority as president and CEO of the organization is to always be fair, equitable, and involved. “My philosophy is I’m not as concerned about reaching any particular goal for myself,” Sieg says. “However, it’s my responsibility to do everything I can as a leader to make certain my team members reach their goals.”
Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Sieg stepped into his role at Visit Atlantic City in New Jersey in July 2020 after holding positions as vice president of marketing for the Atlantic City Convention & Visitors Authority and the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority in Atlantic City. Sieg holds a bachelor’s degree as well as several certifications and credentials pertaining to tourism and hospitality.
“This industry offers many opportunities for people who love to travel and meet people,” Sieg explains. “There are so many different job opportunities within our industry that require a variety of skills, so whatever a person’s interest is, there is probably a perfect job waiting for them.”
Since joining Visit Atlantic City, Sieg says his favorite part of the job is the organization’s family-oriented atmosphere, flexible schedule, and welcoming office environment. “Having the ability to travel all over the world to promote our destination is a privilege that I am blessed to be part of,” Sieg says.
With its beautiful beaches, restaurants, vibrant nightlife, and abundant entertainment, Atlantic City is an ideal destination for events. Sieg and his team aim to make gatherings held there memorable—drawing meeting planners and attendees back for years. Sieg says, “Visit Atlantic City’s one-stop shopping assists meeting planners in creating meaningful meetings and ensuring their attendees will have a great event by experiencing the diversity of amenities our destination offers.”
