With 342 acres, an 18-hole golf course, 150-slip marina and full-service spa, Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa and Marina, had more than enough to keep gorps busy. But the AAA Four Diamond property has just released an updated menu of teambuilding experiences. ““Our dedicated events team takes pride in curating unforgettable and unique group activities that showcase our beautiful location and help to ensure one-of-a-kind meeting experiences right here on the Eastern Shore,” says Cari Ruppert, Director of Sales, Marketing and Events.
The new activities options include several wellness-inspired activites, such as stand-up paddle board yoga sessions led by certified instructors on the calm waters of the Choptank River, guided kayak excursions, bicycle tours of the nearby Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge, pop-up express spa services, and 3K runs around the resort that showcase the beautiful Chesapeake scenery.
Groups can also test their skills with indoor archery target activities, pub-style trivia sessions, and scavenger hunts. New this year, the resort has introduced an on-site escape room where attendees work together to beat the clock to solve a mystery.
Showcasing the distinctive culinary experience of Maryland’s Eastern Shore, the resort is also providing mixology classes where groups can learn how to make the property’s signature cocktails, and a Chesapeake Master Chef activity where groups test their cooking skills in a contest utilizing local flavors and ingredients. Additionally, the resort partners with RAR Brewing Company, a local Cambridge-based brewery, to provide group tours and tastings.
Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay boasts 85,000 square-feet of outdoor event space, including the Regatta Pavilion, which is backdropped by views of the scenic Choptank River; the Breakwater Pavilion, located several hundred feet offshore at the end of a private dock; the Grand Fireplace Patio; the expansive Manor Lawn, adjacent to River Marsh Golf Club’s 18th hole, and two spacious ballrooms.
