News from our Partners in Gettysburg!

By M+E Staff

Gettysburg is one of my favorite destinations in Pennsylvania. I spent a fantastic few days there a while ago and was delighted to learn how much this town has to offer. It turns out that they have some exciting developments underway that directly affect the meetings/event industry.

Here’s what’s happening thanks to Carl Whitehill sharing the news:

New hotel is set to open in Spring 2017

Best Western Hotel Gettysburg is currently under construction with an anticipated opening of Spring 2017. The 81-room hotel will offer a small meeting room that will accommodate 10 people boardroom style. Additionally, a meeting room on the third floor room will accommodate up to 50 people auditorium or banquet style. The room, serving hotel guests a complimentary breakfast during morning hours, will offer panoramic views overlooking the Gettysburg Battlefield and Pickett’s Charge.

Gettysburg welcomes two new leadership companies

When it comes to the meetings market, Gettysburg has carved its niche with its leadership development programs—taking the lessons learned on the Civil War battlefield and applying them to companies across America. Two new companies have started in 2017—FCC Services and HistoryAndLeadership.

“This historically sacred setting is the site of a powerful, soles-on-the-ground program that looks to those leaders, lessons and legacy, with a clear, contemporary purpose…to set the stage for you to prepare for your greatest challenges,” says the leaders of FCC Services.

The leadership development programs in Gettysburg are open to companies and organizations of all sizes. Programs focus on not only the Battle of Gettysburg, but Eisenhower and Lincoln as well.

Keep them on your radar for your next planning session!
