#LighthousePointPark: Lighthouse Point Park in New Haven, Connecticut, is an 82-acre waterfront park at the eastern tip of New Haven Harbor. The park is famous for its historic lighthouse, which has been standing since 1847 and is a symbol of the city’s maritime history. The Five Mile Point Lighthouse is an imposing 70-foot structure made of sandstone quarried from nearby East Haven. Attendees in New Haven with time to spare might check out the park’s stunning views of Long Island Sound, sandy beach, hiking trails, picnic areas, and bird sanctuary. Snap a photo of the lighthouse from afar and give your followers an intriguing visual of the point at any time of year. visitnewhaven.com/places

#MarylandStateHouse: Maryland’s state capitol building in Annapolis, known as The Maryland State House, is the oldest state capitol in continuous legislative use in the U.S. and the only state house ever to have served as the nation’s Capitol. From November 1783 to August 1784, the United States Congress of the Confederation (the former name of the United States Congress) convened in the building’s Old Senate Chamber, during which time Gen. George Washington resigned as commander-in-chief of the Continental Army and the Treaty of Paris was ratified, marking the end of the Revolutionary War. Its historical beauty shines through in all four seasons—for a photo with grandeur, assemble your group in front of one of its carved entrances or massive columns. msa.maryland.gov
