The Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau (PHLCVB) promoted Jason Jordan to vice president of sales. Jordan previously served as the national accounts manager for the Midwest market after joining the PHLCVB in June 2022. Jordan has more than 30 years of experience in the sales industry, including roles with hotels, CVBs, and supporting hospitality-related organizations with their technology needs.

“Jason’s vast industry knowledge, strong network of relationships and prior experience leading a destination’s sales team make him an exemplary candidate for this role,” says Maria Grasso, PHLCVB senior vice president of the convention division, in a prepared statement. “He’s done a great job representing Philadelphia, and we are thrilled to see Jason step into this leadership position.”

In this role, Jordan will be charged with the continued building and development of the PHLCVB’s high-performing sales team to achieve the organization’s meeting and convention-booking goals through strategic planning and strong client relationships. He will be responsible for the recruitment of large citywide events and representing Philadelphia at key industry events and trade shows. Jordan will also collaborate closely with the Pennsylvania Convention Center and Philadelphia hotels and venues to ensure alignment of strategy and processes.

Prior to joining the PHLCVB, Jordan served as account manager for Applied Technologies and director of business venue development for Ungerboeck Software International. He was also director of sales for Explore St. Louis for more than five years, managing a team of citywide sales managers in pursuit of new business. Jordan earned a degree in business administration from the University of Kentucky.
