Alaska Airlines Upgrades

By Amanda Christensen

Since 2018, Seattle-based Alaska Airlines has improved its lounges in airports along the West Coast, including upgrades to its Flagship Lounge at the N Concourse in Seattle, and a new patio space at Concourse C in Portland.

The Alaska Lounge Membership Program offers two relaxing pre-flight options for guests: Alaska Lounge, which allows members access to all Lounge locations; and Alaska Lounge+, which allows access to all Lounge locations as well as 90 partner lounges around the world.

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), the airline’s hometown airport, welcomed an expanded lounge in C Concourse, which opened in November 2022. The expansion added 3,000 square feet of space and doubled the seating with 60 additional seats. The second phase of renovations will begin early 2023 starting at SEA’s D Concourse Lounge with an improved layout, a new barista station, new food and beverage options, and 30% more seating.

“Our members know our Lounge program is one of the best values in the airline industry with one of the most generous access policies,” says Sangita Woerner, senior vice president of marketing and guest experience at Alaska Airlines, in a prepared statement.

Portland International Airport also saw an expansion of its original Lounge by 1,000 square feet, along with an added enclosed patio space. An Express Lounge was also added to the Beaver State’s primary airport at Concourse B.
