Home to a full chef-driven restaurant offering all-day wine tastings and a seasonal, locally focused menu, Amaterra Winery provides several opportunities for memorable group meetings. When it first opened in January 2022, there were three on-site event spaces tailored specifically for private groups from weddings to corporate meetings and social hours. As of today, the winery has added three additional spaces—including the Treehouse, which opened earlier this month—and the Terrace with its own bar, weather permitting.

“The winery is the beating heart of our operation,” says Katie Carver, sales and event coordinator for Amaterra. “A patent-pending gravity flow system allows us to use the utmost gentle processing to produce high-quality and highly rated wines.” Bring your group to the property for a tasting or educational seminar led by a sommelier, or organize a more casual tasting with self-guided flights poured by the bartender for larger gatherings.

And if planners want attendees to get a feel of the Oregon outdoors, gather up to 16 attendees in the new Treehouse. “Made with structural timber from local Douglas Firs and Juniper decking sourced from Bend, the Treehouse seamlessly blends indoors and outdoors with its open walls, capturing the feeling of being among the trees in the forest,” explains Carver. “Even when the evening winds gently breeze through the open walls of the Treehouse, the fireplace and overhead heaters keep our guests warm and cozy so the focus can remain on making memories, sharing ideas, and having a wonderful Amaterra experience.”

Sitting on 12 acres of land, the venue has sprawling views of the Willamette Valley while being situated only a 15-minute drive from downtown Portland and its surrounding metro area. Full-service event room set up and tear down is handled by the Amaterra team for any type of event, and though its normal hours have it opening at noon, Amaterra offers meeting space available for groups wanting to gather earlier in the morning. Tables are set with linens, notepads, pens, and water glasses, and each meeting is staffed with dedicated event servers alongside all-day beverage service. An in-house catered lunch buffet is available for planners to choose, and an afternoon happy hour and wine tasting with charcuterie boards is a popular post-meeting add on.
