Delta Air Lines Expands Presence at Seattle Airport

The airline debuted two premier lounges at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport in late June

Corporate attendees and planners flying through Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) will find two new Delta Air Lines premier lounges, which debuted at the end of June and feature a design inspired by the colors and natural landscapes of the Emerald City. The two lounges—a Delta One Lounge and a Delta Sky Club—are housed in one two-story, 24,000-square-foot space across from Gate A11. The Delta One Lounge is on the top floor while the Delta Sky Club is located below.

“Our goal throughout the design process was to create a space that captures both Seattle’s beautiful aesthetic and soul,” says Claude Roussel, vice president of sky clubs and lounge experience at Delta, in a prepared statement. “From locally sourced food and artwork by Washington-based artists to sustainable design [elements], this space reflects the spirit and values of the Pacific Northwest.”

The Delta One Lounge accommodates 149 people inside and 72 people on the wraparound terrace, accompanied by views of Mount Rainier. The Delta Sky Club seats 183 and also showcases mountain and forest views through tall windows.

“These sophisticated, yet comfortable spaces reflect Delta’s commitment to delivering experiences customers can look forward to through every step of their journey,” says Roussel. “By continuing to invest in key markets and creating bespoke lounges and sky clubs, we are responding to customer demand for the elevated experiences they have come to know, love, and expect from Delta at our hubs and beyond.”

The sustainability efforts for the lounge and sky club can be seen in the smart windows that adjust to sunlight, use of reusable dinnerware, and the all-electric energy supply with motion-sensor lighting—all of which lower overall energy consumption.

Delta Air Lines is SEA’s largest premium global airline and operates up to 175 peak-day departures from the airport to nearly 60 domestic and global destinations—including more international cities than any other carrier at SEA.
