Discover Kalispell in western Montana welcomed Ben Gould as group sales manager to replace Dawn Jackson, who retired from the position in early January. In his role, Gould will help lead efforts to drive revenue growth, work closely with industry partners, and promote Kalispell as a group travel destination.
“We’re delighted to have Ben join our team at Discover Kalispell,” says Diane Medler, executive director at Discover Kalispell, in a prepared statement. “Dawn has been instrumental in growing year-round group business and we look forward to Ben continuing those strategic business-to-business efforts.”
Gould comes to Discover Kalispell after seven years at Whitefish Mountain Resort in Whitefish, just north of Kalispell near Glacier National Park. At the resort, Gould’s work focused on business development, managing sales, expanding seasonal sales initiatives, and generating leads to deliver business growth. “I’m delighted to join the team at Discover Kalispell,” says Gould. “With a background in sales, including direct sales, account management, destination promotion, and lead generation, I’m looking forward to helping sustain and support Kalispell’s economy, especially as we bring in groups and events that support local businesses year-round.”
For planners, Kalispell is rich with history and meeting opportunities. Notable venues such as The Conrad Mansion Museum and the Northwest Montana History Museum offer both gathering spaces and access to exhibits and displays that explain the city’s roots, while traditional event amenities can be found at the Wachholz College Center, Red Lion Hotel Kalispell, and several other nearby hotels.
