Event Pavilion Underway at Montana Hotel

Whitefish’s Grouse Mountain Lodge is set to debut a picturesque pavilion next fall for year-round events

In early October, Grouse Mountain Lodge—located in Whitefish, Montana, near Glacier National Park—announced plans to debut an event pavilion, set to be completed next fall. The 8,250-square-foot venue will feature an A-frame structure with a wood-paneled ceiling and adjacent outdoor space to create year-round indoor/outdoor flexibility. Denver hospitality company Pursuit manages the lodge, which is part of the company’s Glacier Park Collection.

“Whitefish has long been celebrated as a four-season destination,” says Rob Spence, vice president at Pursuit, in a prepared statement. “This new pavilion is purpose-built to provide groups, planners, and couples with a seamless, one-stop experience—pairing elevated hospitality with the unmatched beauty of northwest Montana.”

The pavilion will accommodate up to 350 attendees for standing receptions, 300 theater-style, and 250 for banquets. Event amenities will include audiovisual technology and a bar, and groups also will have access to the lodge’s existing meeting and event spaces. The latter includes the 3,520-square-foot Continental Divide room, the 1,431-square-foot Glacier Room, and a few other more intimate meeting spaces. The property has 144 guest rooms for overnight stays, as well as a 24-hour fitness center, an indoor pool, outdoor hot tub, and on-site dining at Logan’s Bar & Grill.

Logan’s serves up an assortment of Montana-style comfort food centered on hearty plates using regional ingredients. Menu items to note include sauteed trout, smoked salmon dip, and a wild game burger made with a bison-and-elk patty, among several others. The restaurant also has two private dining spaces for groups—the Card Room works well for more casual meetings, while the Wine Room suits elegant special events.
