Seattle-based Alaska Airlines will connect Anchorage, Alaska, to both Sacramento, California, and Detroit, with seasonal nonstop flights available between June and August. These new Anchorage routes bring the airline to 15 nonstop flights between the Alaska hub and the rest of the country. The airline also will resume service between Fairbanks, Alaska, and Portland, Oregon, beginning in May and available until August. In addition, year-round service between Portland and Houston; Portland and Eugene, Oregon; and between Medford, Oregon, and San Diego began in May.
