Last fall, several destination marketing organizations (DMOs) in central Oregon collaborated to launch Meet in Central Oregon, a regional initiative to attract more meetings, conferences, and other events to the area. The program unites, and is funded by, Visit Central Oregon, Visit Bend, Discover Redmond, Explore Prineville, and Explore Sisters, and it also represents several other destinations in the region (including Sunriver, Culver, La Pine, Madras, Maupin, Terrebonne, Tumalo, and Warm Springs). Meet in Central Oregon is founded on four guidng principles: attract professional meetings and events, drive year-round business for the region, deliver authentic experiences, and partner with planning professionals.
