The Resort at The Mountain, in Welches, Ore., has recently promoted Ben Kolibaba to the executive chef position. Kolibaba will now oversee the Mt. Hood resort’s two restaurants, the Altitude in the main building and the seasonal mallards café & pub located near the golf club, as well as managing staff and creating the menu.
Kolibaba’s culinary choices are influenced by his hobbies which include hunting, camping, fishing, mushroom hunting and gardening. The chef comes to the position with over 10 years of experience in various industry positions including several chef positions at other hotels and time spent in a butcher shop. Kolibaba’s most recent position was as sous chef of The Resort at The Mountain’s Altitude.
