USA Today’s “10Best Reader’s Choice Awards” ranked Washington’s Yakima Valley No. 1 Best Wine Region in late July. The awards were announced after a monthlong public vote, with 20 wine regions nationwide competing. Wine experts and wine journalists selected those to be honored.
Fall is harvesting season for wineries and vineyards in the Yakima Valley, with the region’s rolling hills paired with abundant sunshine year-round making for ideal grape growth. To get a taste of the region’s vino, planners might take attendees to venues including TwoMountain Winery and Dineen Vineyards, both in Zillah.
