Born and raised in the Seattle area, BreeAnn Gale had her sights set on building a successful future for herself. By the time she graduated from Bellingham’s Western Washington University in 2006 with a degree in business, a career centered on running her own company was already in the works for her. “I grew up with two parents who owned their own businesses, so I was raised in an entrepreneurial environment,” says Gale. Just months after she donned her cap and gown, Gale launched her planning company Pink Blossom Events, specializing in corporate gatherings and other private events.

“Every day is different,” she says. “Onboarding clients, looking at venues, going on site visits, and doing planning meetings to talk through the events. It’s not your typical 8 to 5.” Her work, as she puts it, is all about “corporate fun,” with the gatherings she plans most often being launch parties, anniversaries and other milestone celebrations, summer picnics, and holiday parties. “Being able to make a difference in clients’ events is really important—
to
take what they’re hoping to celebrate and turn that into a reality.”

And what better place to do that than in the picturesque Northwest? While Pink Blossom Events is based in Seattle, Gale says she often plans events beyond the Emerald City’s downtown—from the lush river valley in Snohomish to Woodinville’s wine country.
“I think a lot of people hosting events, if they’re coming from out of town especially, are looking at venues and experiences that have that Northwest vibe,” says Gale. “We’re lucky
to have access to such natural landscapes and readily available fresh, regional produce and seafood. To me, I think that’s really special.”

That appreciation for the region’s healthy dose of Mother Nature extends beyond her professional life, too. “I’m very much a ‘work hard, play harder’ person,” says Gale. “I love to hike and backpack in the summer, or take out my kayaks or paddleboards. And then in winter I ski, so to me it’s very important to get out and experience this area. Being outdoors any time of the year is definitely my passion.”
