This Seattle Hotel is Beloved by Both Rock Stars and Meeting Planners

By M+E Staff

The Edgewater in Seattle, a Noble House Hotel, lives up to its name. Originally built for the 1962 World’s Fair, the 223-room luxury hotel sits over the water on Pier 67, a location that has attracted some of the biggest names in the music business, including the Foo Fighters, Led Zeppelin and, most famously, the Beatles, who fished from the window of their suite in a photo that became iconic. Today, offering over 10,000 square feet of meeting space, and sitting adjacent to the Bell Harbor International Conference Center (100,000 square feet of waterfront conference space), The Edgewater is in tune with group business.  As the pandemic came to light, the property launched its Stay Safe, Start Living program, a set of enhanced cleaning and safety practices, including the option of contactless check-in.  When it comes to meeting space, an option that’s proved appealing to planners is the gorgeous tent that’s been erected on the 1,500-square-foot outdoor terrace, which offers sweeping views of the Seattle skyline. The tent will remain up through the end of February 2022. The Edgewater’s largest meeting space is the 3,563-square-foot Olympic Ballroom (capacity 220 guests), with floor-to-ceiling windows that provide an unobstructed view of Elliott Bay, the Olympic Mountains and the islands of the Puget Sound.
