Can you believe it’s the holiday season already? It’s time for galas, corporate parties and industry celebrations, like the Jazzy Jingle Jam—our industry’s annual joint association mixer which brings together members of Wedding Network USA, NACE, ABC and ISES for one outrageously fun party. This year’s fete is being held Dec. 16 at Seattle’s historic Columbia City Theater. The theme is 1920s speakeasy so go all out and get your Great Gatsby on.
It’s also the time for holiday traditions, like the Providence Festival of Trees at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, the Winter Garden aGlow at the Idaho Botanical Garden, Argosy Cruises Christmas Ship Festival in Seattle, the Alaska Railroad Holiday Trains in Anchorage and the Vancouver Christmas Market in B.C. One of my favorite holiday traditions is the Gingerbread Village at the Sheraton Seattle Hotel to benefit JDRF. I’m in awe of the ingenuity it takes to come up with some of these gorgeous candied creations. Ever wonder how they manage to pull it off so magnificently each year?
